EVILSISOR, Clark Benjamin-b. Dec. 7, 1883, Lynden, Kans.; d. Jan. 4, 1971. He served as farm manager at Platte Valley Academy and in 1924 he moved to Gentry, Arkansas to start a self-supporting school (now Ozark Adventist Academy). He and his wife spent much of their lives caring for homeless children. They cared for over 200 children, and for a while had fifteen in their home. Survivors included his wife, Pearl Anna; and two daughters, Gladys Witchey (adopted) and Virginia Chesnut. Services were conducted in Gentry Ark., by Elder Orlin R. McLean and H. Dean Kinsey.

EVILSISOR, Mrs. Pearl, 93-year-old resident of Route 2, Gentry, Ark., died Aug. 30, 1980, at the Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born May 14, 1887, at Norwich, Kan., and had been a resident of Gentry for the past 56 years. She was a member of the Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors included two daughters: Mrs. Virginia Chesnut and Mrs. Gladys Witchey; one sister, and 11 grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Evilsiser were held at the Wasson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Elmer Malcolm officiating. Burial was in the Flint Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home.
