A Brief History of Zachary, Louisiana

Zachary Church Organized in 1984

The Zachary church was organized in 1984 and was officially accepted at the constituency session on March 10, 1985 (Minutes, 1984). In February 1986, it was voted to purchase land for a new church (Minutes, 1986).

A New Church in 2000

The members of the Zachary church began building the new church in 1998. The grand opening services were on Sabbath, January 15, 2000. Seven years later their loan was paid off and the Zachary church was dedicated on January 13, 2007 (Newsletter, 2007).
