Hot Springs Black Church Organized in 1933

In the summer of 1933, Elder T. H. Coopwood, assisted by O. J. Trotter, held tent meetings in Hot Springs for the black community. As a result of their work, twenty-three new believers, including a white woman, were led to accept the truth (Hartwell, 1933). On July 1, 1933, Elder H. C. Hartwell organized this new church of twenty-four believers (Record, 1935).
